Our Latest Reviews for Rue de Vaugirard
We had a great time at this apartment! Everything went as smoothly as it can be. Philippe is very responsive, extremely efficient and very easy to work with. The apartment is in good condition, very quiet and close to metro stations, bakeries, restaurants, etc. The Monop downstairs is very convenient. It is so close to Luxembourg Garden we went there every day. It was perfect for our family of 3 and we can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay in this stylish, yet wonderfully comfortable and well equipped apartment in July 2010. You can't get a better location. Just 3 blocks to the Luxenberg Gardens in the heart of St. Germain, great restaurants, markets, a pharmacy, a Velib stop are all just steps from the front door. We never wanted for anything! In fact we could walk to just about every major Paris site in less than 30 minutes.
The owners left a nice list of neighborhood recommendations and we had great meals at Maison de Jardin and Cafe Cassette, two local spots we never would have found otherwise.
The apartment is set back from the street so it was very quiet. The building has a double security code and the area feels very safe. The kitchen and baths are modern, updated within the last 5 years, but there is a wonderful old wood floor and period plaster work on the ceilings that give the space a lot of character. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
Sophie and Philippe were very easy to work with in making the reservations and their charming nephew was there waiting for us to help with our bags and show us how everything worked.
It was the perfect amount of space for our family of four and so much better bang for our buck than two hotel rooms. All in all a great experience and a place we hope to come back to some day."

We stayed in the apartment in April and LOVED it. The location is close to the luxenbourg gardens, shopping, metro, great restaurants, and is one of my favorite areas in Paris. My children loved the playground in the gardens, and the bakery next door. I will go back and stay again next year. The apartment was also beautifully decorated and very quiet.

We recently completed a European 3 city tour with our 2 children, and Paris was the highlight because of our experience at 39Vaugirard. The apartment immersed us in the Parisian experience because of its proximity to authentic locales frequented by its city dwellers-a farmer’s market, the Jardins du Luxembourg, St. Germain des Pres, to name a few. The apartment itself flattered us by making us think we were French(we wish!), as we gazed out at the wonderfully quintessential windowboxes of nearby apts and heard French conversations drifting up through the courtyards the apt overlooks. Perhaps as instrumental in shaping our experience were the well written, spot-on reviews, provided by the apt’s owners, of the city’s noteworthy and/or neighborhood restaurants, shops and activities, so that with nary a misstep, we were knee deep in the fabulous food and delightful adventures that we came to Paris seeking.
